The Philippines are found in the Western Pacific Ocean, off the coast of China
and Vietnam. The country is made up of over 7,000 islands, which are divided
into the three island groups of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. The capital Manila
is found on the Luzon island group. The Philippines have a hot, humid, tropical
climate. The hot summer season runs from March to May, the rainy season from
June to November and the cold season from December to February. The islands are
