Where is Hawaii?

The State of Hawaii is a group of islands located in the North Pacific Ocean. The nearest well-known land mass is the state of California in the South West United States. The island archipelago consists of hundreds of islands, but the eight main islands are found in the South East of the island chain. They are named Niihau, Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Lanai, Kahoolawe, Maui, and finally the island of Hawaii itself, which is often called "Big Island" to differentiate it from the State of Hawaii itself.
